A collector's Hermès carré, designed by Laurence Bourthoumieux and first issued in 1994. "Parures des Sables" (Jewels of the Sands) celebrates the adornments of the desert, with ornaments inspired by Ethiopian and Berber jewellery, Touareg crosses and Kabyle cloisonné enamels.
The design is a rich garland of gold and silver pendants, necklaces and jewelled brooches set against a deep navy ground, framed by a vivid red border. It's printed on 100% silk twill and finished with Hermès' signature hand-rolled hems. Tie it at the neck, wear it in the hair, knot it on a bag handle or frame it as a piece of art.
